Radon Mitigation Photo Album: Basement & Crawlspace Mitigation in Sun Valley, ID

The client reached out to me regarding a radon mitigation system that had been installed by another local contractor in the home she was leasing. Upon inspection, I determined that the system did not comply with AARST standards. Several deficiencies were identified, including an improperly placed fan within the crawl space, venting located at ground level, an inadequately sealed vapor barrier, and a lack of mitigation for the slab-on-grade foundation area.   To improve system performance, I traveled to Sun Valley to implement temporary corrective measures and adjustments.   However, after several weeks, radon levels remained elevated. As a result, we removed the existing system and installed a new one, which included a properly sealed vapor barrier and a correctly positioned and vented fan. Additionally, at the client's request, we extended mitigation services to include the accessory dwelling unit (ADU) on the property, which also features a slab-on-grade foundation.
