- We address the stack effect or natural movement of air/radon in your home by depressurizing the soil beneath the structure to prevent radon gas from moving through the house.
- We drill into the concrete foundation slab, basement floor, or surrounding earth to create a suction point(s) and connect a PVC pipe.
- We vent gas through a pipe that runs through a fan in the attic or along the top of the home. Then, radon is expelled outside.
- We seal all radon entry points with a urethane caulking compound, including cracks, gaps, and openings.
- We perform a final system analysis to inspect the fan and other key system details to ensure it performs correctly.
- We perform a radon test within 30 days of the system installation to ensure the system is working.

Client contacted us to install a fan and turn the passive depressurization system installed by the builder into an active system. With the fan installed and activated, this inadvertently increased radon levels due to an incorrect installation by the builder. His system was never completed to vent thru the roof and was dead ended in a wall. To resolve this issue, we established a new suction point and integrated it with the existing perforated piping beneath the basement slab. Additionally, we sealed off the previously installed passive vent pipe. As a result, we successfully reduced the radon levels to 1.2 pCi/L or lower.
The buyer's agent contacted us upon receiving a radon report indicating elevated levels in a property under contract. Within one week of the initial inquiry, we installed an active sub-slab depressurization system. To ensure minimal visual impact, we strategically positioned the fan at the least visible corner of the house and established the suction point beneath the slab by coring horizontally through the concrete footer.
